New Executive Director takes up post

Finsbury Park Trust, the local Islington charity which supports and responds to community need in order to improve the lives of all people in Finsbury Park, has appointed a new Executive Director, Felicity Ford, who joined the Trust on 5th June.

Felicity joins the Finsbury Park Trust from Manor Gardens Welfare Trust, where she was Director of Fundraising and Development for over seven years. She has extensive experience in leadership and income generation from a long career in the voluntary sector.

Clare Potter, Chair of Finsbury Park Trust commented, ‘We are looking forward to welcoming Felicity to Finsbury Park Trust as our new Executive Director. Her skills and experience will enable the Trust to achieve our goals and support our diverse communities.’

‘I’m delighted to be joining the Finsbury Park Trust at a time when more and more people are in need of support at a local level to live better,’ says Felicity. ‘There is a lot of scope to respond to emerging needs, such as the cost of living crisis and the increasing number of people who are struggling with their mental wellbeing.’

Clare says: ‘We are very grateful to Talal Karim, the former Executive Director, who kept the Trust going during the pandemic despite retiring! We also thank the London Development Trust for providing interim management support. We look forward to Felicity’s leadership and guidance to put the Trust on a strong, sustainable footing, to be an effective community asset in Finsbury Park for many generations to come.’
