The People’s Park – Exhibition Preview

This Summer we celebrate the extraordinary 150-year history of one of London’s best-loved “People’s Parks” with a series of outdoor exhibitions of large-format photographs in the Park for visitors to explore. This preview exhibition of 10 large panels – part of the London-wide National Park City Festival – shows selected moments from Finsbury Park’s radical heritage, including previously unseen images from local archives and the Museum of London collection. Each of the stories on these boards is proxy for dozens more which are being contributed by local people, archives and institutions, and many more of these will see the light of day in the expanded exhibition scheduled to be shown in the autumn.

Everything 150 walk

Everything 150 is a contemporary archaeology project creating an archive of items found in Finsbury Park during the year 2019, in partnership with Museum of London. There is an Everything 150 walk open to all which takes place on the first Sunday of every month.

Stakeholders Group

The Council has set up a Finsbury Park Stakeholders Group to consult with the local community about these events. Finsbury Park Trust is a member of the Stakeholders Group.

Non-profit organisation 2NQ who are organising some of the celebratory cultural events have lots of plans but want to make sure they are connected with all community stakeholders.

With that in mind, they held their first Community Board meeting earlier at the the Finsbury Park Trust offices.
